RADIO 1 DJ SAYS HE'LL BRING FESTIVAL SPIRIT TO BOSTON

Phil Taggart, the Radio 1 DJ, has told Endeavour Radio that he will make sure everyone has a good time when he plays at the Boston Big Gig this weekend.

In the interview he speaks about how he'll be winging his headline DJ set to make sure that the crowd get exactly the tunes they want.

He even suggests throwing paper aeroplanes with requests on into his DJ booth on the day.

Taggart presents his Radio 1 show on Thursdays at 9PM
The Irish presenter says "There's something much more pure about playing the smaller festivals because you know that... [the crowd] is so much more up for a party."

He empathises with local music fans' inability to find an outlet for fresh music. "They need to get this creativity stored that's stored in their head out" he says about an Irish festival near his home-town.

He also ear-marks Declan Mckenna - one of the other acts playing at the gig - as one to watch. He calls him a "gift that keeps on giving."
